About Susan Kendall Morrow,
President and Founder of Words Are We
and Workshops Are We
Susan K. Morrow had aspirations as a child to be “a famous arthur, Mommy.” Thirty years and various incarnations later, she began to make that dream come true—that dream, er, to be an author…Mommy.
Although Susan was tempted by the study of acting and public speaking, as well as English and other languages, she took a job in property management right after college. From managing apartments, she segued into commercial property and facilities management. After almost 20 years in that industry, including owning and operating two facilities management businesses, Susan received a message from the cosmos: she was neglecting her gift of language. Thus, she created Words Are We.
Words Are We is an English language service, helping people navigate the treacherous waters of the English language through writing, editing, and presenting “Grammar Damage 101” workshops.
Within weeks of opening the doors of Words Are We, however, another workshop developed: “Networking Camp” was created to teach people how to build and maintain their business networks, how to develop effective 30-second introductions, and how to use networking to increase their bottom line.
Because ideas for new workshops and other projects continue to percolate within Susan’s fertile, entrepreneurial mind, Workshops Are We evolved as an extension of Words Are We. “I love training so much that I wanted to be able to teach whatever my audiences wanted to know. ‘Workshops’ covers that,” Susan explains.
In addition to teaching workshops and providing editing and writing services; Susan provides private readings for clients who are spiritually inclined. She discusses their energies and their late loved ones.
Susan’s current projects include developing and teaching workshops, including the new Sister Mystic Program, producing two monthly newsletters, and working on a novel and several non-fiction books.
Morrow studied creative writing and communications at the University of Texas and Sam Houston State University, plus a brief stint at Ealing College in Ealing, England. She was widowed in 1995, and lives in Austin with her two children.
